Is there a reason why you would want to insert a tube in the tubeless tire instead of just plugging any hole you might get? I understand that this might be necessary if the sidewall is breached, but this strikes me about as likely as getting hit by lightning. I've never experienced either in many years of riding.

BTW, I use a large C-clamp for bead-breaking.

how many watts is the charging system good for ?

I posted a link with that in post #2. At cruising speeds, 145W is the approximate free wattage for your year and model.

Stan, you REALLY should look up the link Greywolf has kindly directed you to. It has tons of info on the CORRECT way to wire up a Strom. This includes total and useable watts on the various Vees and Wees.

Well I have read of a guy on that same ride as I will be taking,hit a bad pot hole.And bent his rim enough that it would not hold air,so he installed a tube.If I was out in the middle of no were,and that happened,I would want to know a easy way to break the tire off the rim.Not that this would come up much,but this is just one example.
