I think Stroms are known to be kinda wide in the rear and then when you add wide bags they can be quite wide overall. If the bags are wide enough to be out in the airstream they can create some side to side "wobbling", but speeds must be fairly high, over 80mph, and the higher the speeds the more obvious the wobble.
Here's another example of the wobble--on my brother's ZZR1200 he was known to have perfect stability up to 150 which is as fast as he has taken it. He added a pair of soft bags (Tourmaster) and when loaded he noticed a slight wobble he had never noticed before, at well over 100mph. It must be the aerodynamics of the luggage--take them off and its stable again. Admittedly speeds I'm talking about here are very illegal. I do speed anyway sometimes. |
