I think Stroms are known to be kinda wide in the rear and then when you add wide bags they can be quite wide overall. If the bags are wide enough to be out in the airstream they can create some side to side "wobbling", but speeds must be fairly high, over 80mph, and the higher the speeds the more obvious the wobble.
Here's another example of the wobble--on my brother's ZZR1200 he was known to have perfect stability up to 150 which is as fast as he has taken it. He added a pair of soft bags (Tourmaster) and when loaded he noticed a slight wobble he had never noticed before, at well over 100mph. It must be the aerodynamics of the luggage--take them off and its stable again.

Admittedly speeds I'm talking about here are very illegal. I do speed anyway sometimes.

Luggage manufacturers typically warn not to exceed 80-85mph.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014+ DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012+ DL650s

Please vote in the poll on what Strom(s) you have at http://www.stromtrooper.com/informat...-you-have.html
