Pics.....

Thanks for posting the pics Tom. Man, they really "raped" the place of out-buildings and landscape features when they closed it down!!

I never had the opportunity to stay at TWO before it closed. I did stumble across the Lodge at Copperhead in Blairsville, GA Mountain Cabin Resort & Lodge in North Georgia Mountains | The Lodge @ Copperhead a couple of years back and have really enjoyed staying with them. I've stayed in the King size room and if you don't want to spring for a full room or cabin they have a bunkroom (not listed on their website, call Michelle) in the bottom of the lodge for $25 a night you get a comfy bed with access to all of their amenities (restaurant, bar, pool etc.). If your headed to the area it's a really convenient location.

So, I finally made it back to TWO this last Sat to grab some lunch while out hitting the FSR's around Suches, first time since they re-opened.

Disappointed.

While the place looks amazing and they did a great job on the rebuild, one thing they should have left alone... the menu!

Hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken strips... that's it. Maybe its been too long since they closed or maybe I have a foggy memory but I thought they had a fairly decent menu before. Fish sandwiches, salads, BBQ etc.

I wouldn't really complain too much if the hamburgers were at least good. But they were awful, boxed burgers from Walmart if I were to guess. I think I will continue to pack my own food, since I got use to it while they were closed.

someone posted a picture of their menu marquis on advrider. it pretty much killed that thread. $12 buck for a burger and fries. i did comment on their FB page That $18 camping was too pricey considering their competition. Seems that's now been lowered to $15.

That's a shame, the place just doesn't look the same ether. I remember the first time I stayed there in '94 and met Frank, cantankerous old dude but he reminded me of my grandfather.
Even after Frank was out of the picture it was still a good place to eat lunch.
