I just got off the phone with a Suzuki dealer about ordering a 2013 650 in white. He told me that there are some 2012 white ones available here in the states. I thought that they were only in Canada. These must be leftovers and they're trying to sell them where ever they can. Is there any difference between the V-stroms that come to the states and the ones that Canada gets?

They are identical. Just make sure the transfer from Canada to the USA was done legally.

I might have considered a 2012 here in the US if they would have come in white, but after having a 07 V-Strom (silver) I just went with the 2011 V-Strom in white. Glad I did, mainly because of the big saving and the color, I have got nothing but complements on the 2011 in Pearl White, it's just one good looking bike. I ride with other riders that have V-Strom's and the white ones are truly a stand out color, probably because not many white ones around. Personally I didn't understand Suzuki's choice of color for 2012 in the burnt orange color when it's probably 5th or 6th in the color choice for buyers. Maybe that's why they sold more Black Adventures then they probably would have.

While I understand your feelings about the orange, enough to have painted my orange bike yellow, this poll disagrees. Poll: Which color would you choose? 2012 DL650
Orange is the clear winner and black the clear loser with white in between.

The Glee is way different from the Wee and Vee. Taking off 5 pieces of plastic from the Glee is all it takes. Getting the front piece off is a pretty big job though.
![]() It's easier to get the painted plastic off the Vee and Wee but the fuel tank needs to be painted too. Fuel Tank Removal How to, 650 & 1000

I just got this message from my dealer.
Bill, I can get a 2013 V-strom 650 ABS in white MSRP $8499. I can sell it for $8095 plus $85 Doc and 5% Maine sales tax of $409. Out the door would be $8589. The 2012's I told you about are gone. Please let me know if you have any questions |

I just bought an '11 Wee in White, private sale on Craigslist. I was going to look at a silver '07 on the same day since they were both a couple hours away. Once I saw the bike I bought, it was true love! I didn't realize how cool the bike is in high contrast (he also removed the decals, which I think is way better). I ended up spending a bit more than I wanted but its got lots of goodies on it (more than on the Adventure and, sorry, I don't think much of the Trax bags. Mine came with Caribou).
I keep going out to the garage and pinching myself. This was a bit of a surprise to me as I was wanting to wait until the '12s were a year old: my first bike was a black slash five and I think black is cool too - but I have no regrets now about my decision.
