had my vee for several months and i love it(mostly) i find that the seat rides up on my tailbone(a lot) on long rides. I like to hear input and experiences on different seats or seat mods. what i am looking at is a Terrys custom seat from ebay...since i cant post a link due to the rules(GW), you will have to look it up
i tried to search the forum without luck, maybe im doing it wrong Last edited by greywolf; 11-27-2012 at 08:21 PM. Reason: Ebay link removed. Read the rules, specifically the Marketplace rules in this case |

You think maybe Terry's Customs Seats derived some...inspiration...from Russell?
Custom Motorcycle Seats and Touring Saddles - "Day-Long" Touring Saddles and Motorcycle Seats by Russell Cycle Products The price seems OK. I'd want to try one before buying, or be ready to test out his 14 day return policy at your shipping expense. If you could get down there, perhaps he could shape it and position the seating spot specifically for you.

If this is Terry Adcox in Tennessee then I have one of his seats. I have a Sargent seat and ordered in a Suzuki gel. The gel set me too high and wasn't comfortable at all. The Sargent was better but still added up over time. I was seriously considering the Russell but decided to give Terry's a try. I used the Suzuki gel as the core.
Firmness in line with Sargent, not much riding time since received but feels promising. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Terry was patient and answered numerous questions, reviewed photos of me on bike with both Sargent and Suzuki gel and provided feedback. Terry was fabulous to work with. |

I have a Corbin seat on my Vee. I love it! I can ride all day with zero tailbone pain.

I bought a seat from Sargent. They are not cheap, about the same as a corbin, but it is very comfortable for riding for several hours. The key is thick foam padding, not gel. The Gel ones just displace and you end up sitting on the frame.

Well--the key might be the correct density foam in the right spot and maybe gel in the right spot. My Rich's seat with 7# rebond foam and a gel insert is really supportive and comfy for all-day-every-day rides.
