high quality Cigarette lighter

Where do you find a good waterproof high quality cigarette lighter. The auto parts stores ones look cheap and failry fragile for a bike use. looks like the beemer ones need adapters and such?

West Marine stores have a couple of good ones in stock. If no West Marine stores nearby, you can probably find the same products at any marine/boating store.

Go hakafugu yourself.

I got one at Walmart in the boating section, it's black and has a base. I cut a 1" hole in the panel under the windshield and installed it there. It has a mount but un-screws and will go into a hole.

Thumbs up West Marine

Lots of good "must have" bike accessories at West Marine including waterproof luggage and stuff bags. They stock a lots of quality 12 volt and stainless steel products that are durable, won't rust and are designed to survive the weather.

Are you looking for an actual "Lighter" (Glow-plug)........or, the female portion Power Accessory for 12V gizmos (air compressor, GPS, etc), where you plug the Lighter into???

Amazon.com - search for "12V marine outlet" and you'll get several choices under $20 or so.

Re: waterproof when you have a device connected to the outlet, I've had good luck using a balloon with the top cut off to make a snug, waterproof "sleeve" to seal the exposed connection from the elements.

I'll be adding a cigarette lighter over this winter's farkling season too.

My Internet searches keep finding this one:

MC Enterprises Water Resistant Cigarette Lighter

I don't know if it's any good but I'm probably going to give it a try.
