I just installed the new kickstand footpad from Rick and am very pleased with the product. 3/16" steel base plate. Black powder coated. Seems very sturdy and is unobtrusive except to fit very carefully before fully tightening or it will touch the exhaust pipe in the up position. This is not for a centerstand equipped bike. $28 plus shipping. Bolts come with Loctite pre applied.

I've fitted one of these to my 650 and it clears the sw-motech centre stand in the up position my be different on the 1000 I'm not sure?

I've now fitted several items from them and the quality is 2nd to none and fit spot on first time.
