Evidently you folks aren't old enough to remember how to siphon gas. Get a piece of hose (5 ft or so will do) or buy a hose with a siphon bulb if you want to be politically correct, put one end in at the low point of the tank, the other at a lower point, and suck until the fluid flows (ideally, into another container). Much quicker and easier than removing the tank. When as much has come out as will, dump a gallon or tow of gas in, swish it around, re-siphon. Should be clean enough to start (after the diesel is flushed from the fuel lines, of course).

Be sure to keep an eye on your oil level. These engines are not high enough compression to get diesel to ignite. If you ran enough through it will end up in your oil sump. Its not really a big deal but if you notice the oil level level starting to raise then you should change it out for some fresh l/o.

On our little "farmette" that my wife and live on here in Missouri my wife has the opposite problem. She regularly (about 2x a year) fills the diesel tractor with "regular" gas. She has never done the opposite on either the cars or my Motorcycles.

Will say though that combined with emptying the fuel filter and pump, siphoning has always worked.

YMMV

Here in NZ the 91 pump handle is green, the 95 is red (or it could be the other way round, but it's in the middle) and the diesel is black with a larger diameter nozzle. I have still managed to fill a diesel vehicle up with petrol...twice We should start a club.

Next time, all you have to do is put a length of hose on the fuel pump outlet on the tank and let it drain. I'd like to see anyone siphon all the fuel out of a Strom tank with a meaningful sized hose, just not enough room to get a hose down close to the fuel pump sump.
You don't need to clean injectors, fuel filters etc, just run some fresh fuel through the engine and it'll clear it out.

Hey guys thanks a lot for your replies!

I have siphoned as much as posible the old petrol, put a bit more of clean one and siphon again, and got the pump to squirt the gas when turning the key,

but There is a bit of petrol left on the tank, the pump is not spitting any more,

I want to take the fuel pump out, and drain the tank completely...

so my question is. Do I need to buy some screws sealant and the sealant for between the pump and the tank?

will the gas leak if I don put sealant?
Im just asking to check before I take the pump out,

also I will change the spark plugs,

Hopefully that will be it!

thanks again!
