The vents on my Olympia MotoX pants worked good in 100 degree heat a couple weeks ago though not as good as the full mess Airglides I just bought.

+1 For Aerostitch Dariens....I've had a couple "cheaper" ones that leaked...never had the Dariens leak, and the fit is much better....

There are zippered leg vents on my Fieldsheer pants. Unzip them and you'll see the outside layer of the waterproof barrier. They help a little, but after an hour and a half of hot hot riding on Saturday, I was pretty sweaty inside them, just wearing shorts underneath. Still, it's better than road rash, and I've tested these in that regard, and this weekend monster thunder storms were coming and going, so having the waterproofs on was probably the right decision.

A couple of years ago I borrowed some Joe Rocket Ballistic overpants. I was able to do up the snaps over the side leg zips but leave the zippers undone. It was much cooler. I'd think that in a get-off the snaps would be prone to separating more than the zipper though, so it was a safety trade-off. Of course, with the zipper undone, and just snaps up the leg it's a look I'm going to see if Lady Gaga wants to pick up.

Firstgear mesh pants. Easy on, easy off. Good stuff.

Thanks for all the input. I found a craigslist deal and couldn't pass it up. The guy said he had worn the jacket 3 times.

I got a Firstgear Rainier jacket with Firstgear Hypertex overpants.
