Glad you had a good time at Americade. We "locals" appreciate all two wheeled visitors. Living locally, it is a blast to be close to the excitement. To see all the different cycles on Canada street is really cool. Having all the vendors here gives a chance to see their products up close. A lot of great riding in the Adirondacks and Vermont as you found out. Rich is correct, it tends to rain during at least part of Americade, just like in the fall for the balloon festival. Regardless, the rain was scattered, and I don't think it ruined the rally. Speaking of rallies, don't forget Vstrom weekend in New Hampshire August 3-5!

All of the rallies are about the same when it comes to the vendors & checking out the bikes. What I like about Americade is "the riding". Man, between NY & Vermont's mts. and lakes the ridings second to none.
There was a fair share of "thunder showers" this year, but that comes with the turf.
I really lucked out with lodging this year. Stayed on the east side of Lake George, on Pilot Knob Rd.
The cottage was right on the lake. The icing on the cake was a ride in the landlords boat. It's a Formula with two 454's hopped up. It wouldn't quite crack 75, but it came close enough. He's a native of Lake George and gave us quite a tour on the lake, describing it's history. I even got an invite for some deer hunting.
