My Go Cruise on the Super Tenere would slowly lose speed, but I found I could put some plumbing tape wrapped several times under the neoprene stripe to increase the diameter of the grip and that helps. I have had it a while so may have accidently ordered a large (1") instead but don't recall. I've ordered one for the new orange blossom special. BTW, I also have a vista cruise, and while not too bad to install, it would require me to move my switch housing just a bit and a few other manipulations to make it work. The Go Cruise is just so simple that makes me like it.

I had a Go Cruise until I gave it away to another rider down here (I'm good like that!
I was browsing ADV rider this evening and came across this: ![]() It's basically an upgraded version of the Go in aluminum and lets you clamp it down as required (the Go can slip) Otherwise it works the same way. Brian at WOT Designs makes these himself and here's what he had to say about them (I asked if he planned a polished version for the Harley crowd): I still have a 6a to 5p day job and work in the shop till 11 almost every night. I can probably get up to 100 a week but by that time I won't have a day job anymore anyways. I'm meeting with another coater tomorrow to have them sample my parts in decorative chrome. The hinge hole has to be within a few thousands of an inch after coating so I'm going to test it first. I hope to have them ready by International Motorcycle Show in exactly one month. I am pretty sure I'll sell out of the 200 I'll be able to have ready with all the other stuff I have to get ready for displays, design signs, banners etc. I do ALL of this in house. Design, engineer, 3D CAD, program, CNC, and tumble. even the pivot nut I make because I like precision ground 7075 aluminum instead of stainless as a fail safe. You would pull the threads out before crushing the throttle tube if something lodged in between and a giant ape kept turning the screw. So support a one-man show guys! You can order through his site. I put my new go cruise on my k7 tonight, and it's nowhere near clearing the oem hand guard. Pic 1- idle. Pic 2- point of contact(1/2 throttle). Pic 3- wot (for reference).
Am I missing something? ImageUploadedByMO Free1353460639.384118.jpgImageUploadedByMO Free1353460653.493079.jpgImageUploadedByMO Free1353460665.622272.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Motorcycle.com Free App |

Mine was easyly clearing at the beginning of the summer, but now it begin to touch. I guess it is normal sagging of the handguard over the time. It does not bother me so far, if it does, i will just trim it, i mean make a notch in the handguard. Or maybe reverse the sagging by heating with a heatgun, and letting the plastic cool while something under maintain its higher desired shape until cooled down.
No it will not stay at that desired shape after then but should not get back to the one it has before this treatment. Somewhere between them, but enought to clear the GoCruise. Sorry if not clear my english need to improve. Last edited by fortp; 11-20-2012 at 09:31 PM. |

Thanks fortp.
Does anyone have any other ideas besides the heat gun approach? Sent from my iPhone using Motorcycle.com Free App |

It is. I just received mine and apart from being adjustable, it's skinnier than the Go so I can go back to 3 finger braking on my shorty brake lever. Clearance on my Barkbuster is exactly the same as the Go with standard guards.
I've been chatting with the guy who makes these and I feel sure if there's any clearance issue with your personal setup he'll help fix it. A great guy and quality product that deserves our support.

Did close to 200 miles up to Big Sur and back home yesterday. The Go cruise works just fine but it's just a matter of time before I wind up with one of the Omni's. Great design. Thinking man put that together. Thanks for posting the photo of it on yer rig. That was the final question answered. The visual confirmation.
