I'm not the most careful person when it comes to cleaning my windscreen, I'll pretty much grab the first thing I see to clean it. This has left me with a windscreen with a LOT of micro scratches. Well my neighbor gave me a sample pack of this stuff http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+G12310 and it works great! I can't believe the difference, almost like new. It also did a great job on the headlights. Next up is the headlights on my "99" F150

I may have to pick one up and give it a try. This is what I've used in the past with success

Thanks! I was actually wondering about that the other day! Same as you, I take the easy road. But I read that even the people that are careful find the stock screen to be made of butter and have scratches.

Mine looks like its been drug through a briar patch a half a dozen times or so, but its not that troubling since its practically useless anyhow. I might try some of that Meguiars though. My buddy said it made a huge difference on his car headlights.

McG's has a new scratch remover. I can't recall the exact name, but it's something like "X 2.0." It's in a small black bottle.
I bought it initially to remove a nasty ding in the Mini, which was a deep dent and scratch with foreign paint etc. After the paintless dent repair guy did his work, I still had scratches and paint left. I was astonished at how well it worked; I'd never have thought that the paint could come back like that. I had some deep scratches on the Vee's tank from the tankbag (the magnets picked up some metal which tore into the paint). Other scratch removers didn't do much good, this stuff completely removed them. Apparently the product re-arranges the paint somehow; the scratches were through the paint, but the remover took them out anyway. A little Carnuba wax, and the bike is like new again.
