Suzuki part number decode? -Airfilter-

I know GW has mentioned this several times, but I can't find a reference to it now. I needed a new air filter, and got a ton of conflicting info off the web. Highflow says their filter(HFA3611) fits all Dl650's from 2004 to present. However, Suzuki's part numbers are different from 2004 to 2015:

2004 - 13780-06G00

2015 - 13780-27G10

What is the meaning of the last 5 characters and at what specific character does a a part fit or not fit?

I hope Highflow is right, because I already ordered two of them before double checking the suzy part numbers. Btw, the Highflow is on sale at Amazon Prime for $20.40 shipped:

Suzuki changed their later filters to have more paper in the element, a stiffer support plate and a gasket so the old gasket no longer needed to be removed from the old filter and put on the new one. Newer filters would fit the older bikes. Therefore, an aftermarket filter would fit all years.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014+ DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012+ DL650s

B, do you have Prime? If so, order it since GW covered it in his post. Although......I noticed he failed to give up the mysterious Suzuki parts code....most likely since I lost my secret decoder ring back in '69{sniff}

There is no real parts code that I know of except for paint color at the end of painted parts. The number behind the dash seems to involve the origin of the part in terms of subcontractor, factory, warehouse etc..

The HF3611 fits my 2013. My cost was about $24.50.
