Yes, there are a number of street tire possibilities. I know that the Bridgestone 020 is a great choice for the Strom. I had them on another bike and they perform great.

Hey George, try this link for tires. They have a good selection and prices are good too. Look through sport tires for our sizes.

front: 110/80-19
rear: 150/70-17

Check the other forum under tires and there is more info than you could want on different tire choices.

Enjoy the new bike.

Put Bridgestone 020's on my 03 , 1000. Most noticeable difference was how much smoother the ride was compared to the stock Trailwings. Less vibration throughout the entire bike. Overall smoother ride. Bike also cornered much better, felt much more planted in corners. Front tire is wearing very well , rear has maybe a 1000 more left on it. This is after 6000 miles.

Any advantages to a narrower tire on the rear of a DL650? 140/80R17
Any reason not to?

Rim to Tyre Application Chart says a 140/80x17 can be used on a 2.75, 3.00 or 3.50inch rim. The Stroms have a 4 inch wide rear rim. I'm not fond of stepping out of the middle of the range but that tire is totally outside the usable range.
