I would probably be the poster child for that. I take care of the little thing, but some of the stuff they put in the manual is for the birds.

Here's my air filter at 18,000 miles. Doing the valve adjustment, plugs, oil change, brake pads, brake fluid, clutch fluid, sprockets, chain, coolant, tires, and general cleanup. HOLY CRAP this filter was clogged. Can't believe it was getting any air. Plugs looked good so the mixture wasn't too bad. This probably explains the crappy (36mpg highway) gas mileage.

That's what I was wondering. It doesn't make any sense. This bike gets ridden weekly and is always parked in my attached garage. No squirrels, birds, mice, etc.in there.......that I know of. A small bird does make sense though due to the fact that all the small black pieces in the pics are actually sunflower seed shells. Unless I had some really wild times riding through sunflower seed patches that I don't remember.....oh,.... this one time at band camp...

It does get ridden on FS roads and "improved" roads but I can't figure out the acorns. I'll be putting some mesh screen over the airbox inlet when I button everything back up.

All those seed covers really give the appearance of a mouse patio. Something was picnicking there.

I opened my Honda Foreman airbox more than once and has been completely full of acorns. Rats, squirrels, rodents of all kinds must love airboxes...
