It was 50 here and WINDY. After I got the new sneakers on the bike, I had such a headache that the test ride is gonna have to wait until tomorrow. Roads here are pretty good. They never did put much sand on them this winter and we had a couple of inches of rain within the last week.

I didn't go out, cause I had housework to get done, saturday in not my riding day, too many people on the road, it's the busiest day of the week

Radar shows a small rainshower passing over right now, when it's over, I plan on going out

Nope. Still TONS of salt on the road. Hopefully soon, though.

Thought about it though... I've got to go see how the new heated grips work. But I decided that since I haven't checked tire pressure, or lubed the chain or any of a multitue of things I need to do before riding yet, that I probably ought to hold off until I do them...

Now, the guy I passed at lunch today doing wheelies on his CBR must have had a different idea.

If any of you lucy ones are out and about, stay warm and keep the rubber side down.

It was a beautiful ride yesterday. I cruised up to Lake George and visited some friends who were out ice fishing. On the way back it I took Rt 9N and had the strange occurance of riding along side some snowmobiles who were probably enjoying their last day out.

I have to say, the new heated grips and GIVI windscreen works wonders.

120 miles today. Saw a few bikes. You know they're out for the first time of the year when they wave to you from the other side of a divided highway with lots of traffic.

I took the Strom into work today hoping that the weatherman was correct on his timing of the rain showers. It appears that they have arrived about two hours early. It is still worth it. I was able to get a quick 40 mile ride during my lunch hour.

On Thursday I started coming down with something, but stayed in bed from Friday night until Sunday morning so that I could take a ride with three other guys down here. It was really great, except that then ended up involved in a much bigger plot to surprise party me at the end of the ride. Considering I was still pretty sick and just now starting to feel better, I hope I didn't infect all of my friends and family.

But it was a GREAT ride on Sunday. Nice roads and weather near 50.

It was a nice ride until finally got home and did the bike snowplow musical chairs in the garage. Once all the bikes were away I walked onto my driveway and almost fell on the ice at 38F? I thought back on some of the tight turns of the day and a chill went down my spine. I didn't think ice was possible at 38F, but I guess if the ground is that cold and snow is still on the banks it CAN be colder than the air.

Unfortunately today I had to travel for work and couldn't take the bike to work. And I see a lot of rain in the rest of the week. Nice temps thought.
