Hay. I may be getting a job working for Microsoft and I was wondering if there are any Stromtroopers in the area?

I am a new convert to the Strom and live with in riding distance to Microsoft. Any excuse to ride is a good one!

How are things up there weather wise? Im a So-cal boy born and raised. From what I see, a lot more rainy and cold ;) Looks like some nice riding out there when its not raining. I may ride my wee up there in a few weeks with a lay-over on Redlands.

It does rain here a lot but you can still get a bunch of riding in. Most of the times it is light sprinkles and my normal riding gear does me well. Good boots are something to have for sure so your feet stay dry. I manage to put a ton more miles on my 2 wheels than my 4 if that helps. :) You will take a bit to get used to the weather (as in cold) but once you do you will realize that 50 degrees is t-shirt weather. :) You will enjoy the ride up and everything that Washington has to offer.

I'm about 107 mile east of Seattle. It gets a little colder with a little more snow and ice on this side of the Cascades, but I manage to get ride time in from Feb to Nov.

I grew up in just north of Seattle, about 10 miles from Microsoft's HQ in Redmond. You're gonna love it. One benefit from the winter/fall...sping...occassional summer...rain is that everything STAYS GREEN!!!! Nice when you're used to SoCal brown in the summer. Invest in raingear and you'll be loving life!

Another Strommer in Maple Valley. This is a great place to ride!

Yes it is! Depends on what I want to do out in Maple Valley though. Some times the KLR 650 is better suited for the mud than the Strom.
