Went for a ride on my strom this last sunday. The wind was howling, but it was still lots of fun. I'd rather be riding than doing just about anything else!

I took boulder creek and engineers road near Julian, then went down banner grade to the anza borrego desert, stopped at the taco shop for lunch and then came back up to the west on montezuma grade (S22). The CHP were out in force this time. Motor officers, even way out in the desert. I just give 'em a friendly wave as I silently motor by. Sometimes having a slow bike with quiet pipes is a good thing ;)

The famous taco shop

I think this is what the CHP were targeting! Hey, at least they keep the heat off of me.

They're everywhere. I don't know what they think of the vstrom. Hey is that thing a dirtbike or what?

For the next ride I'll have sonic springs and a forkbrace installed. Then maybe I can give those sportbikes a run for their money. At least until the road straightens out ;)

That looks like the type of ride I would love to do.
Where is the Toco shop?
