I have a GWR 500 rear seat bag and love it! Last summer on a cross-country trip, one of the straps came off the bottom of the bag. Got home and pretty much forgot about it.

Well as I was going through my stuff for this year riding season I found the bag, recalling the strap and their highly touted no hassle warranty, I emailed them requesting an RMA to return the item to be repaired. Here was the response I received…

Your Return Authorization # is #########. Please send your warranty item to 3518-A W. Lake Center Drive, Santa Ana, CA 92704. You must mark your RA# number on the outside of the box as our shipping/receiving department will not accept it otherwise and your package will be sent back to you at your expense. Also include a copy of your proof of purchase inside the box with your name, phone number, return address and a brief description of the problem.

Now I understand the need for a receipt, but I bought this bag on the road 2+ years ago and if I kept every receipt I might need for a warranty issue I would need a warehouse for all of my receipts! I called Rashell and asked her why I was required to provide a receipt when they are supposed to have a no questions, hassle free warranty policy? To her credit she did finally relent and went to ask if they could make an exception on the receipt.

So even with Nelson Rigg hang on to those receipts! You may need them.
