Be real gents, do you really think the 650 is going to run the needed electical extras that a light weight D/S bike should have?
And what is up w/ that tiny tail light, left over from one of your native mopeds?
I know if you can get it wrong for millions of bikes for decades, you can get right for once. Then just keep doing what is right. Correct the speed indicator. Come on guys, most of us are over 18 yrs. & don't require the thrill of being lied to by a needle that goes 7.7% over the real world speed. You see we can do math.
But nice head lights.
I wonder if a class action suite could be made for a faulty speedometer.
But nice head lights.
Just think of the press release, Suzuki, getz ite vight.

You will have a snowflakes chance in the tropics on that one.
MOST speedos on MOST vehicles (cars, trucks and bikes) read on the fast side. Regulations in most countries allow speedo error up to +/- 10% so the 'Strom speedo falls well within the legal allowance.
The fact is that manufacturers make their speedos err on the optimistic side to cover themselves from claims from people who get caught speeding and try to blame the instrument not themselves.

Ok, try 1%, heck if they can build tolarences as close as they are doing bike after bike, all auto builders can stay w/ in 1%. Like I said, if they can do it wrong, they can do it right. Either you stamp out junk or you stamp out quality. It takes the same movement.
Just one riders rant.

Damn dude, relax. There is no perfect bike. I have spent $$$$$ on refining what I think is the best sport tour in the world, the FJR1300. So maybe they can give us a better suspension or better wind protection or wider mirrors or even add a center stand and handgrips but they don't. My Honda VTX1300 speedo was way off compared to the Wee or even my FJR. I don't find it that annoying. I am just happy to be riding some of the finest motorcycles in the world. My Wee is fun, my FJR is awesome.
