OK, fwiw, Mt Washington forcast for Feb4 is high temp 6° winds 48mph WNW 10% chance precip

Laconia forcast high 27°winds 7mph W 0% chance of precip

basicly means a ride in the mid 20's with exception of higher elevations on the Kanc, likely in teens (low) and from past experience, blowing snow on the conway side of the ridge. past expereince tells me to go uphill thru the blowing snow

Any takers, at this point I am flexible for a meeting spot

Is the ride still on? I wish I could make it, but I'm still not outfitted for cold weather riding. I tried riding in the high 20s, low 30s and was miserably cold after 5 miles.

Hope you have a safe and great ride!

not sure if I'm going or not, forcast is getting considerably colder, local is for high in mid teens and Mt Washington forcast is for a high of 5 below, weather at Kancamangus Pass will be close to summit weather

Is the better part of Valor, RandyO.
No need to hazzard Yourself or your Livelyhood! ( not to mention that Noble Steed ! ) ;)
There will be better days to ride and the weather is just part of the equation .
Add in the distracted cage drivers & it's jist knot wirth it ---> IMHO.
But its 4 you to decide .....

This might just be the stupidest thing ever. Why didn't I think of doing it??

I like the idea for two reasons:
1. Who wants to watch the super bowl?
2. I liked our nice "global warming" start to winter this year better than what we have now.
3 (but who's counting). I bought lots of cold weather gear this fall!

When we don't have ice ON the roads I'd be interesting in doing something dumb like this. Best of all I live in Dover, so I'll only have frostbite on my extremities by the time I get to your place!

Send me some mail a day or two before you want to go, if I can swing it I'd love to tag along.
