Dobeck TFI settings for DL1000K5 w/Two Bro's and K&N air Filter

Guys/Gals,

Here are the baseline settings for the DL1000K5 with Race Cans and free breathing filter, these are the same settings used by Dale Walker of Holeshot performance on the DL1000K*. Be advised, Dobeck gives a substantial military discount to vets, bless them;

Green: 3' oClock
Yellow: 8' oClock
Red: 2' oClock
RPM: 4' oClock

Wow, that's a lot richer than I set mine at. Will a K&N air filter make a lot of difference in the settings? I am anxious to see what kind of performance it gives you!

Thanks Tractorshaft. I was just going to ask about the Dobeck unit. In your performance post can you give mileage before and after results? I am on the fence regarding the Techlusion unit or a PCIII.

Sir.....step away from the PCIII!!!!!!!:mrgreen: Seriously, what does the 1000 really need? It needs more fuel right? The stock map is really pretty good, we just need more fuel at the bottom range. Who wants to play around with another fuel map and jack it up.....not me! I am gonna give Dale Walker a call in the future, and install the Techlusion with his settings. My 1000 honestly runs pretty darn good now, but it could run even better with that sweet little box hooked up.

PCIII's are not what they are cracked up to be, unless you get dyno tuned. My 4 cents!!!!!!
