Can I politley suggest that SUZUKI recall, and refund all current owners, so they can go and buy something THAT DOESN'T NEED TO BE FOOKING PRODUCT TESTED BY THE PUBLIC BEFORE YOU SELL THE DAMN THINGS ON!!!
Yup, I'm sick to death of being fobbed off by Suzuki "Cos they all do that Sir, " (no they fookin don't)
In the 11 months I've "owned" the bike, they have had it for 6 months and 11 days!
and now ......... the fooking brake pad retaining pin has come out and trashed my wheel. So guess who has got the bike again this week? yep, not ME!!!!
Just a thought, but maybe you should tell Suzuki who your dealer is. That seems to have been the source of a large part of your problems.

Having had the Suzuki local area techy come to see the bike on several times.
He turns up, lots of discussion and suggestions, the dealer says "yes, ok we'll try that".
Techy goes away satisfied, dealer keeps my bike for a week whilst I come back to the UK, decides he knows far more than the Techy chap, does something different, gives the bike back to me when I go back to Germany, problem still not sorted, I complain (my German is getting better with each passing argument) to dealer again, he makes new appointment with Techy chap etc etc etc, .....
then repeat as above.
Bottom line is that they are simply not interested now that I have paid for the bike. They just want to sell bikes, not fix the occasional one that isn't right.
Given the popularity of the V-Strom in Germany, I find this even more disappointing.
It was my intention to run the bike for the two year warranty period, then trade it against another one (in August 2005). That has all gone by the wayside, I just cannot wait to be rid of the damn thing, just I have to get the clutch knocking resolved, cos any other dealer is going to take one listen at it and knock the value of the trade in down by a huge margin.

It still sounds like it is your dealer giving bad service. Just possibly, if Suzuki Germany knew about this, they'd do something. I've gone above the dealer's head with car and bike problems in the past, and it's usually worked. (Once it didn't.) Not only that, the local national distributor wants to know who the bad dealers are. If they get enough complaints they'll take away their rights to be a dealer for that particular brand. When I bought my first bike back in 1972, I had big problems with the local Triumph dealer. I finally went to the Canadian distributor for Triumphs. They got the problem fixed fast, and they told me they were starting my warranty over from the date and mileage I had complained to them. The next summer that dealer no longer sold Triumphs and a different dealer had the local Triumph franchise.
