The all important directions and as we all know, all roads lead to Julian!!!
1. From San Diego: Get on Hwy 67N and get into Ramona. Just keep going
straight on 67, it turns into Highway 78E. Go up 78 for 22 miles until you
hit the stop sign in beautiful downtown Julian. At the stop, turn left and
proceed up two blocks to the big, old tin bldg on the right. Next to the
Fire Station. You are there.
2. From the N. Coastal/Escondido area: Get on Hwy 78E, go through
Escondido and Ramona until you hit the stop sign in Julian. Turn left, go
two blocks, look for the big tin bldg next to the fire station and there
you are.
3. From Alpine/E County area: Take 8 to 79N. go through Cuyamaca until
you hit the stop sign at the Post Office in Julian (Hwy78). Turn left,
cruise down to the next stop sign at the Town Hall. Go straight for 2
blocks and look for that old tin bldg on the right.

What a great idea! I would love to make it, but it's quite a ride from Indiana.

Man, I wish I could make it, sounds fun. I checked out your map and my gal sitting next to me who lived in Long Beach told me I don't envy anyone trying to get out of that particular area with the traffic situations there. She still remembers getting up at 4 in the am to beat the traffic to get out of town. She's always on my case cuz I think it's too congested here in N Idaho. Oh well, maybe I could arrange a tech day up here and invite all 3 DL owners in the entire area. Wouldn't be much of a party though. Ride safe.

Ahh, it's not so bad -- when you live here you quickly learn how to deal with it (traffic) -- I commute everyday riding my KLR 650 to and from work, and IMHO, it's both quicker and safer than driving a car
As far as the ride goes, we'll be hitting the slabs early on a Sunday morning -- most folks here in LA don't get outtta bed on the weekends till midday  -- and for the ride back, I've specifically chosen roads less travelled by cagers :D
It'll be a great day :)

For those who couldn't attend, I posted a few pictures here (http://rhinowerx.com/fotos/categories.php?cat_id=65)
This turned out to be a really great day - I learned alot, met up with friends, old and new, ate some great food, and had a wonderful ride, both there and back.
These bikes are great and so are the people who ride them
Looking forward to the next organized get together
Cheers
