Hi.
My Wee is collecting dust and it's bumming me out. My riding gear is good to about 40 degrees. I'd love to ride but I need some inspiration. Is there anyone from the area that would like to hook up for a day ride? There are some great roads between where I live (Clinton, NJ) and the Bethlehem/Allentown, PA area.
I'm all ears.

Well, dang...thanks for the reply!
This Saturday looks rainy....Sunday a little chilly but otherwise ok, but I promised my wife my (almost) undivided attention for a day.
I'm hoping for nice weather next weekend and will get back to you.

that weekend might be a no-go for me, getting a new puppy. . .we'll figure it out, might be up for yet another operation so i'm biding my time, haven't ridden at all either, the strom is just wasting away here as well. . .hasn't turned a wheel in god knows how long. . .

Turn of an unfriendly card: I have a problem with a file I'm working on (I'm a loan officer) and I have to sit here tomorrow morning and wait for a call from my manager (bangs head).

that actually works out for the best jimbo, i was going to bow out anyway, its a risk versus benefit for me, i don't think i'd make such a long ride with my shoulder the way it is. maybe we can hook up for something short and sweet another time? crying shame, 66 and sunny tomorrow too? while you're at it tomorrow, can you loan me a few bucks?
sciroccojim
11-29-2006, 08:37 PM
No worries, then. Take care of that shoulder. We have to grab Jorge and do a ride soon. There's another dude in Flemington here who just IM'd me, so this could be fun. I need to ride!!!
while you're at it tomorrow, can you loan me a few bucks?
Sure! If you have a house, I have some money for you. :-)

Hey Jim,
I think we passed each other twice today out in New Hope area. I went out on some good back road and ended up in spring town and came down 32 there. I plan on going for a ride tomorrow also if you want to get together and ride. The weather should be nicer tomorrow.

It definitely wasn't me. Today is my birthday and I'm kinda bummed because I wanted to go for a ride but there just isn't anyone around anymore. All my old riding buddies moved out of the area or had kids.
Tomorrow should be pretty good!

Good stuff! Rockland County, NY? Well, anyhoo, we'll definitely hook up for a ride in the Easton/Bethlehem area. I'd like to head Northwest...maybe check out Jim Thorpe and stuff. Martin is South of me, so his turf is along the Delaware, south of Easton. We'll figure something out.
I'm an avid bass fisherman, but not a kayaker.

Hey Fred Congrat on the new bike. What year and what color you get. Where do you kayak? I go down the delaware a few times in the summer.
Jim, Next time we could go up toward Jime Thorpe area. I camp up there are couple times a year.

Congrats on the new bike - ride, ride, ride.
Looks like we might have a lot in common - other that the strom.
I like the P-burg dealer. I was there this Wed talkin bar risers and seats. I'm a new-wee rider (Sep 06) that grew up in Branchburg (near Jorge). Last wkend I cruised around Somerset, Hunterdon, Warren. The wk before I was up in Sparta area. This wkend I'm busy but next wkend is my b-day and plan to do something / anything. Jim Thorpe sounds good. My buddy doesn't ride but he does teach kayak up in JT. I'll ask him about the area. I don't kayak but I canoe, whitewater and flat - enjoy fishing and camping - thinkin about designing a tent and fishing rod holder for my bike.
I hope to meet you guys one day....

Hey Kid,
Were you riding back in in Dec. between New Hope and Millford NJ bridge on 32? I think we past each other that weekend twice. Was that u? I know Jorge was triing to figure out who it might have been also.
Haycock Kid

I don't think so because I have yet to see another Strom - and I've been looking. Also, I rarely back track the same road so you'd only see me once - you would have been going south and me north because I looped down south of Frenchtown, Tinicum Park / Erwinna, and rode up to Riegelsville one afternoon but I don't remember if it was a wkend or not. (I canoe and bass fish that stretch of the river.) Up until Jan, I had Monday's off and would ride then - I'm still out a couple times a week if it isn't icy. I take the long way home from work....but I'd like to ride w/ you guys. Right now I ride w/ one KLR and all the other guys are H-D; it's just not the same....

Hi Guys and Girls,
I was scouting throught the site looking for fellow VS riders in my area and came across this set of posts. Anyway, I'm over in Brookhaven PA near Chester and looking for folks to ride with. If any of you ride though the winter or waiting till the spring time, just let me know, I like to ride near and far.

I live not too far away in Newark, DE. There are a couple of others as well; one in northern DE and the other in the Landenberg, PA (So. Chester County) area, I think.
So yeah, we should all get together.

hello Guys, There are a bunch of us that ride out of NJ here. There are 7 of use that have ridden together and growing every trip out. You 2 would bring it up 10 of us. There are a bunch of Yellow's, blues and reds. Red is my favorite. In the spring or first warmer weather break we should have a bunch of rides going. I know a few are going down to NC for the Strom gathering and some might hit the Jim Thorpe gathering. Sign up on to www.ssyso.com It is mostly a bunch of yellows but there are all colors on there. This group is out of central/north jersey.
