Hi !
Picked up my brand new DL 1000 last saturday (600 km on it so far).
I've been riding Suzuki's since 97, had a 1200 Banditt for a couple of years and a Hayabusa after that, and now it's the V-Strom. Different from my previous ones, but a great bike so far. The comfort and handling is just awesome.
This is going to be a GREAT summer...... :D
Cheers

Hi Kaamos!
Nice to see a fellow Norwegian here. I was just baffled to see you started riding Suzukis in 97. So did I, on a Bandit no less. I sold it, rented me a Hayabusa for a weekend, and moved to the US. I now ride a Silver 2003 DL1000! 7800 miles after last weekends scenic highway 10 from Jay to Talequah by the Illinois river in OK(lahoma).
I envy you the Norwegian roads, they are like made for the Strom.
Are you by any chance 34 years old as well?!?!
Happy riding.
Gisle :-)

Hi Gisle !
Sorry for the late reply, I'm on vacation (riding my bike of course :D ) in Norway. 3100km on it so far.
And yes, the roads in Norway are so "bad" that they truly are made for the V-Strom........ Did some riding last week on a couple of islands in the north of Norway (Nord-Norge, Troms fylke, Andørja og Rolla), with very narrow roads with lots of twists and turns, great fun. Highly recommend it if you ever visit the old country
I'm 35 years old, btw :!:
Ride safe
Cheers
Kaamos
