Underseat Exhaust

Engineer an underseat exhaust to fit on both the DL1000 & DL650.
Engineer mounting brackets that would hold hard luggage
side cases as close to the motorcycle as possible.

Make it backwards compatible to 2002.

Sell the modification "kit" as a touring accessory that combines a sporty appearance with the ability to have a slimmer profile with side cases mounted on.

I agree wholeheartedly. An underseat would be a great addition - clean up the looks and make it way easier for hard and soft bags. I'm sure it can be designed with a cross section which would not limit the rear suspension travel and keep it (mildly) off road ready.

No way that's gonna happen--all they're gonna do is incorporate those design changes (very gradually) into 06-07-08 model years. "Hey, but thanks for telling us, though!"
