View Full Version : 07 Yamaha FJR 1300
I have to admit, I'm thinking about one. Nothing much new about 07 except for "Black Cherry" as best as I can tell. Beats black, blue and silver, I guess.

Rod,
The FJR1300 is an awesome bike. Are you planning on getting the ABS model? A fellow RiderCoach friend of mine just dumped his FJR. Got caught off guard and hit the brakes a bit too quickly, down it went.
I think my next bike is going to be equipped with ABS.

ABS is standard equipment on them now. Sorry to hear about your friend's mishap. Damn that gets expensive. If the price is right, I'll get one. I ride 10,000 miles a year just beating around here. I'd put some serious miles on a long distance bike. Otherwise after two years I finally got all the aftermarket stuff on my Wee. For all I know that's a great ST bike  :D . I would like to roll down the highway at less than 5-6K RPM and have that rear wheel a little more planted but we'll see. Maybe one of you guys will get a great deal on a tricked out sport-touring bike and maybe not  I'm going over to Daytona next weekend to see the new Yamahas along with all the other stuff.
You going fl_strom?

Actually the '07 IS new besides the colors. The frame is narrower and they have apparently fixed the "heat problem" of the previous models which poured unbearable heat to the legs.
Supposedly the heat on the legs problem was resolved with the 06 machines. I was not aware of the frame change. I had a wonderful day on an ST 1300 in and around Deal's Gap a few weeks ago. My issue with that bike was on those tight turns my knees were into the front fairing. Wonderful machine
Here in FLA it's hot all over, almost all the time. So additional heat is not a good idea. Hand warmers? What's that?
