But by god it does a good impression!

Whatever anyone else tells you, the Vee on dirt "roads" and easy-to-midgrade trails is its usual lovable self.

How does it do on those? Good. Not great, but good, pretty much the way it handles... um... everything. This weekend I took it on a dirt "way" where we forded 6 streams, then took it down to the desert to ride around some fossilized dunes on ATV trails. The Strom isn't quite as nimble as the 200 dirt bikes, but the only thing it ever did was impress me with how capable it is.

Strom - it's what's for dinner.

Really nice post......I agree that it is PLENTY capable! That is why it is called an adventure bike.

I tested offroad ability a week ago at a local motorcycle park in austin. I was doing great until some 2 foot clifts to go up and down.

The only thing that would slow me down are 2' drop offs at slow speed. 2' cliffs to go up and sharp turns on hills.

I did manage to find a small jump and suprisingly got some air and it was a cushony landing from a couple feet up)
