Recall all the 02 and 03 and replace the bad clutch basket. Instead of me having to convince the dealer that it is bad. If it ruins the engines later on, i'll get a new engine. On second thought, don't bother :-))

It does not happen to all units, it depends mostly on the way the unit is ridden. If yours does it contact your local dealer, have them, call Suzuki's technical hot line. They stand behind their product better than most.

have to agree 100% with those sentiments, all three of my local German Dealers REFUSE to change the clutch assembley on my POS, it knocks like hell, even to the point when I ride in to the dealers, they know who it is by the sound of the damn thing.
So, I have brought the bike to England to try and get the thing done here, and have met with some resistance, but Suzuki UK have eventually agreed to change the assembley as a goodwill gesture, and here is the catch, provided Suzuki Germany pick up the bill. I'm still awaiting the outcome of that process, could be a long wait.
It has got to the point where I only want the clutch changed so that it is quieter, so I can go to any other non Suzuki dealer and trade the thing in. With it knocking like it does now, I don't think that I'd get anything like a decent price for it.
(And whilst AATECH is correct in saying that they don't all do it, I can't agree with the bit about Suzuki standing behind their product better than most. Ask a Hayabusa owner about trying to get the cracked rear subframes replaced as a warranty claim. Ask an SV1000 owner about getting the over sized main bearings changed. )
Actually I'd settle for a half decent price just to be rid of the POS.
For the record, I will never buy another Suzuki, from anywhere in the world.
