This summer I returned to Minnesota after a few years in Florida. I've been camping for most of the last three months, some of that time touring on my DL 650. This is some stuff that has worked well for me:

Its been raining almost daily and this tent stays dry. I found it on sale for 199 USD.
I bought this stove in 1971 and have used it almost every year since then without mishap. The design is old but very reliable, much like myself.

I shopped extensively for a sleeping pad and looked hard at Thermarest but found this Swiss-made unit that is light, comfortable, and cool, with its built-in pump.

These boots have never leaked a drop, even riding in day after day of rain, and I often forget to remove them at the end of the day because they're so comfortable.

This is gear that I've tested in the real world and found to be of exceptional quality. Hope you find this helpful.
