Well, I just saw my new bike being unpacked out of the crate - didn't endup getting ABS due to Zero info from Zuk on its Availablility in OZ - basiclly got told a whole lot of crap by Zuk Rep and 2 dealers about Oz getting a totally differant model to the US with no dual plug head or Cat. etc - but to my logic then it would not be a K7 rite ?? - anyhoo wanted one anyway so I ordered and guess what it has a Cat, frame guards and FOUR Plugs - go figure!!! bloody NSW Zuk reps need some training I think (sign of the times - box movers not salesmen) I'm betting that when I look at the manual its a little longer in the wheel base as well..... anyway enought bitchen'
Can't wait to pick it up - just need to off load the kids for a day (stay at home dad) so I can pay the balance and ride it home.
The Dealer has included Genuine crash bars and centre stand after some armtwisting and a good trade on the old TRX - - so all in all I'm happy and cant wait to have it broken in
Anyway - thanks to all on this site - it was the best salesmen of all, lots of good info and opinions
PS Have a pic of the bike coming out of the crate but don't know how to attach it
Congratulations, the fun is just about to start :D :D
I got my K6 in November last year, it's no got 14500 K's of happy trouble free riding :D :D
how could Suzuki give out such false info ......... it makes me wonder if the ABS is not an option also ......... thats a happy outcome for all of us about to buy. Enjoy the ride. Tim

I predict it will be.. but not for atleast 6 month as they haven't started supplying US or EU yet!
Hey Tim,
did you order a Wee? I was up at Mick’s this afternoon and seen a Wee being put together.
I didn’t ask who it belongs to.
I rang Mick at Mick Cole motorcycles yesterday, told him that a guy in Bris had just taken delivery of a 4 plug K7. He was speechless. Afew days earlier I had asked him to enquire from the Suz network as to when they might arrive. He had assured me "they are not in the pipeline". Any way, he puts me on hold ......... he was in the middle of uncrating a Demo K7 ....... he ducked into the work shop, sure enuf ...... 4 leads. Apparently its not uncommon. The factories churn out the product, the promotional material and marketing follows. Its fine by me! The reality is we have been lied to ........ it just happens to be a good lie. : ) I would have been perfectly happy with a K 6. Now I will be perfectly happy if I buy the K7. Hey Spin I will PM you.

Mick was looking at the front cylinder on it (the K7) yesterday with a puzzeled look on his face when I stopped.
He had a fax from Suzuki Australia this morning, taken from the US web site. It described the twin plug head and diffrent exhaust but the ABS was crossed out, I suppose we wont be getting that just yet.

One week to go until my 07 Weestrom arrives....very excited.
Being delivered in Crate with Centre Stand, Ventura Rack/Bag and Givi Engine crash bars.
Wondering whether I should get them to put a new filter and oil in the crate too. What is the first service interval. I won't get the bike back to Perth until January.

Hi pilbaralad. Looks like you have taken the plunge! First service is at 1000km. All it is an oil and filter change, plus check all of the bolts. Who did you end up buying from?
Enjoy!

Costing me $250 through our local freight company to get it up here.

You mean you will be able to sleep?  I remember the wait I had, the excitement was nearly too much.

It's finally here, after a delay by the shipping company my weestrom finally arrived yesterday. :D The local freight guy knew how excited I was (I have been stalking his depot the last week  ) so he delivered it on a Saturday arvo when he is usually kicking back or riding his own bike.
You wouldn't believe it though, almost as soon as I got it outta the crate it started raining  ....a thunderstorm is not unusual in a lot of places but this time of the year in this desert area... laughable!
So I cracked a beer, and enjoyed taking my time fitting the accessories and the bits that didn't come attached....and on this... a big wrap for Llyod Chapman Motorcycles in Perth. :) They sent the bike in a GSXR shipping crate so the only things a had to fit were the mirrors, ventura rack and the screen. The centre stand and crash bars were already on and the handlebars only had to be adjusted up. Started work at 8 today so......I got up at 6 and had 90 minutes in the bike before work. Very Happy Jan :!:
Everything I'd hoped for and more (remember I had never seen the bike before I bought it). I'm even okay with the colour, I wasnt real keen on the red but it is a lot deeper colour than I thought and much nicer.'
Got 100km on her today and hope to have 1000 by the end of the week so I can stretch her legs a bit more next week when I'm on holidays. Even put on my new Stromtrooper t-shirt under my jacket :!:

Hi Again,
Just saw you other post re: keeping it looking new... Get a can of "Bike Shine" and give the whole thing a light coat. My dirt bike mates recomended it, all the crud just slides of at the next wash, even the huge yellow bug guts on the front screen we get in the OZi spring. The MX guys reckon it keeps the plastics and steel (engine covers etc) looking new for years.
I gave mine a good coat all over from new and now just rub a bit on with a rag after each wash, certainly makes cleaning easy.
