I feel kinda stupid even asking, but here goes- I've seen some really nice shots taken while riding, at speed. What is the best method for taking pictures like this?

Small Point and shoot that you can operate left handed with a glove on :D

Preset for action, manual-infinite focus. Use the wrist strap if you don't want to drop it while riding. Make sure it's digital so that you can waste 20 shots to get one good one

I probly do about 40% of my pics on the fly. Most are one handed operations of just pointing and shooting. Sometime about 3 shots in a row with a little different camera angles. Since swapping over to the Landscape mode on my camera rather than the Auto mode, the pics seem to be much better and sharper.
Dang Dimage Z1 has too many settings but been working for me as I learn to use it.

First thing is to register and log-in with your screen name. "Guests" don't get any privileges...

Then, go to your "Profile" (top of page) and find the avatar section. If you can link to an image already hosted on the web, that is the easiest. If Brendan has avatar uploads enanled (haven't checked), that is the most efficient. It has to be small, usually 100x100 or less.

Hope that helps...
