a 2003 demo with 12k miles and very well maintained by large dealership.
only riden by the shop owner!
tall Suzuki shield is the only add on, tires are new, full warrenty.
any hard guidelines, such as kelly blue book?
any help is appreciated...

I would ask other dealers what they would give for a trade in on a 2003 V-Strom with 12k miles, and add about $1500 - $2000 to get the amount you should pay for it. I would also ask about throwing in the extended warranty for free or at least at a discount. I would question how well the bike was broken in. If it was a demo, then it may have been ridden hard during the break-in period. But if you got the extended warranty, I wouldn't worry about it much.
