New Strom owners in North Central Iowa

I was searching trying to find if there are other V-strom owners in North Iowa. Couldn't search the member list that I can figure out. Anyway. We are in Mason City, just moved from a Goldwing 1800 and FJR1300 to 2 Wee-stroms. Really enjoying riding them so far and buying lots of accessories.

Looks like you have had yours for a while. I know where Milford is. I used to race motocross there when I was much younger. I like that area over there. Okoboji is very nice. Any good gravel or back roads around there?

You're kidding! My uncles were just telling me about the track that used to hold AMA events on the edge of town.

I think I only raced there a couple of times. I mostly raced at Forest City, Fort Dodge, New Hartford and a few others. I raced mostly between 1969 to 1975, then went to college in Phoenix. I raced a Penton 125, Kawasaki 250, Maico 501, and my brother raced a Yamaha 125 and a Penton 175. My best friend at the time raced a Penton, then a KTM when they changed and later had the number 1 plate in the state. I imagine he raced over there quite a bit after I went to college.

It is interesting that coincidences seem to happen all the time.
