Datel voltmerter installation help

I have an 03 DL, with a Ray Fagan Shelf, want to attach a datel voltmeter to the shelf instead putting it in one of the panels. Has anyone one done this?? Would appreciate any tips.

Are you looking for help to install the voltmeter wiring or the mounting of the meter in the dash?

Here's a thought. Down inside the cowling, behind the headlights, there's a vertical metal support in the center that you can see while riding. When I get around to adding fog lights I'm going to also install a voltmeter, probably the Datel unit, and I think I'd make a little bracket and mount it there. It would be visible, out of the way, and I don't have to cut holes in anything.
