Seriously cool looking Sport Tourer. Neat marketing story. If they get any stateside, I'd sure consider one.

To celebrate Moto Guzzi’s 85th anniversary, this great motorcycle adventure will retrace the route originally taken by Giuseppe Guzzi in 1928, from Mandello to the Arctic Circle, on a G.T. 500.

Mandello del Lario, 18th July 2006.
Next Monday, the 24th July, at 07:00 in the morning, a caravan of 14 brand new Moto Guzzi Norge 1200 GTs will set off. Their destination, six days of riding and nearly 5,000 km of road later, is Norway’s legendary North Cape.

Riding these 14 magnificent Italian tourers will be a group of French, Spanish, British, German, American, and of course, Italian motorcycling journalists, called upon to retrace the route followed by Giuseppe Guzzi in 1928 on his dramatic ride to the Arctic Circle.

The riders will be followed by a troupe of photographers and cameramen to document the expedition, and the www.motoguzzi.it website will be publishing daily updates on the raid. The expedition will begin with an exhibition of the 14 Norge 1200 GT motorcycles, all fitted with satellite navigation systems, and a presentation of the route. This kick-off event will take place at 18:30 on Sunday 23rd July at the Moto Guzzi wind tunnel, inside the historic Mandello factory where the marque of the eagle was born 85 years ago.
