Hello!!! Just purchased my new K6 1000. Looking to meet others to ride with and share mod ideas. Is there a time when people get together and ride? Anyone wanting to ride August long? Any ideas?

Ty,

Welcome to the board and congrats on your bike.

I'm sure you'll find people to ride with you.

Remember, click that submit button once and you'll be good to go.

Thanks,

Jim

BTW - Add some information to your profile so people will know where you are and such.

Welcome tyblaney. If you ever cross the Rockies into 'biker paradise', look me up.
BTW. Did you purchase your bike from Blackfoot? I checked there last year before buying locally. I wasn't impressed with them.

Day2: Creston through the Koots to Vernon on to Kamloops. Going to have a rest day at the farm.
Day3: Maybe local ride mostly rest "Beer"
Day 4: Kamloops to Jasper

Just did a quick 2800km there and back to Calgary. Went over to Blahkfoot to gander about.

Was looking at the Triumph Tiger, couldnt get a salesmans attention so I left.

Now have 49,670km on the Wee, runs as strong as the day I bought her.

Cheers!

I'm in Calgary and just did a Calgary to Jasper (on the icefields parkway!), to Vancouver and then back to Calgary. I did the Vancouver to Calgary ride in one day on my wee.

I would never buy from Blackfoot myself. I actually got the best price in the province from Turple Bros. in Red Deer. Great service too.

(It blows me away that Blackfoot charges $500 for freight and PDI and Turple charges $50)

Gents,
Just found this forum last week and this trail today, wish I had found it a couple of weeks ago.

I am heading off tomrrow for my 3rd trip to BC this year. It's going to be 7 days of riding and about 5500Km.

Blackfoot sucks for price and service, I got my Wee from GW cycles in Calgary for way less than BF and now get all my work done by Mountiain Toys in Cochrane. MT only has a week waiting list for services unlike BF's four weeks.

Will let you know how the trip went and hopefully all us Calgary boys can get together when I return.

2003 Yellow Strom...the loud one with 2 Bros Pipes that is downtown everyday.

Love the bike, but 20,000km on in the first season, then I got married and had a kid and have only put 15,000 on the past 2 seasons.

Heading out to the Koots to do Creston/Kaslo/New Denver/etc next weekend. I think a jaunt down to Lake Koocanusa/Yaak on the way to Creston.

TN,

I am in, see you there.

Let me know if you want me to broadcast this on a couple of other forums I subscript to (VRIG and Sports touring) to ensure that the word goes out to as many Calgary Stromtroopers as possible.

Sweet!
What if we do the Highwood pass ride starting in Longview? Then maybe would more people come? I'm hearing that there is alot of construction in Lake Louise and given that it is a Sunday there will probably be alot of traffic coming home from BC

Thoughts?

I am easy, the fact that we are getting out ride as a group is enough to get me out. Destination and direction are secondary.
