Hey guys, I used to be a Triumph guy before I bought my Strom a few weeks ago. I'm tagging along with the Triumph RAT guys on a ride this Sunday starting in Katy, TX. If you want to tag along, it'd be nice to have some more Stroms. Nice bunch of guys, all bikes are welcome... it just usually predominantly Triumph.
Here's the email I got from the pack leader.
We plan to leave from Snappy's Restaurant in Katy, TX at 9:00 AM. If you plan on eating with the gang, be sure to arrive early enough to do so; probably no later than 8:30 AM.
Plan to have a 90% or fuller tank of fuel by 9:00 AM. If this means you'll have to fill up in Katy before coming to eat breakfast, then please do so.
Please print a copy of the attached instructions for your personal use.
This is an ADVENTURE!! Plan on taking the better part of the day for this ride. Get your honey-do's done on Saturday.
From Katy to Matagorda:
South out of Katy on 1463.
Straight across 1093, taking 359 South.
Right (South) on 723.
Left (East) on Alternate 90 in Rosenburg.
Right on 36 South.
After Needville, Right on 442.
At Boling, Left on 1301.
Just out of Danciger, Right on 524.
While on 524, go through Old Ocean and Sweeny.
Right on 521 at Four Corners.
Left on 60 at Wadsworth, going on then to Matagorda.
If desired, South at Matagorda on 2031 to the Ocean.
From Matagorda to Katy:
North 2031 to Matagorda, if applicable.
North on 60.
Left on 521 West.
Right on 1468 North through Markham.
Right on 1162 North, a little out of Markham.
960 North out of El Campo’s North corner. (525 in town?)
102 N. out of Glen Flora.
Continue straight on 3013 North when encountered.
At Eagle Lake, East on 1093.
Just out of Wallis, Left (North) on 1458.
Disperse as desired when Freeway 10 is reached.
Just FYI, I'll probably be skipping breakfast and just meeting at the restaurant. I'll be coming from Spring Branch on I-10 and heading home from Katy a little roundabout, but my GPS totaled the entire round trip mileage to 308 miles. As they say... your mileage may vary. :wink:
If you are in the Spring Branch area or farther east and want to head out to Katy together, let me know.
