Looks like a Beemer, but no, it is a russian copy of the BMW R71.

It has a 750 ccm side valve engine with about 26 BHP. Max rev is about 3500, max speed 80 kph solo (and less with sidecar).

The restoration took me one year. I brought it from the street to my 2nd stock room in parts and there cleaned, painted, polished, etc. You can imagine what kind a smell was there...
But I enjoyed it very much!

Beautiful old bike. I could never muster the patience and enthusiasm for a project like that. You do good work my friend.

I admire people who can have the patience, perseverance and attention to detail, to restore things.
It looks great.
Nice work Balazs

That's a keeper. Ever with you had the sidecar that they make for it?

Of course I had! But I had no more patience to restore it as well.

There is special U-turn you can do only with bikes with sidecar where the 3rd wheel has no brake itself. You simply trample on the rear brake pedal to block the rear wheel and turn the steering bar fully to the left. This is only for sidecars attached to the bike's right side, otherwise game is over! The complete rolling steel-junk starts to slide and turns in one lane (european roads are much more narrower).
