Anyone doing this? http://www.mctourer.com/rides/2006SMR/smrrr2006.html

I am thinking about it, but debating on taking my DRZ400S or DL1000.

Brenden, I am not sure about the off road parts seeing how I am not that experienced with off road on the wee, but maybe the poker run on saturday. Either way let me know if you come down would love to meet up with you.

Looks like I am going, arriving Wednesday night and heading either home or to the East Coast get together on Saturday. I am going to take the Strom on this one. Will you be attending the Smokey Mtn ride?

I have to work on friday but I am off the wed you arrive, thursday and saturday. I am not to sure about the off road riding I have not done any in 30 years and have not had the pleasure of having my wee off road yet with the exception of some light gravel. Like I said in the earlier post I may do the poker run on hard surface on saturday. I am within an hour ride of the area where you will be so if you want to get together I can PM my cell to you.

Got the PM, thanks.
My understanding is that the "off-road" will be dirt roads, but they have a great road route lined up too.
Looks like 8 Strom riders are signed up so far. We are staying at the host campgrounds, maybe join us for bench racing in the evening?

I will call you and we can set up a time to try to meet. Looking forward to meeting up with you. Then I get the pleasure of meeting Stromette next month as she will be in the area. 8)

Brendan, good to meet you at the ride. There were several Stroms on both the paved and rough road ride and they acquitted themselves well. Since the Long Suffering Susan was with me we were on the Venture and not the Strom but it was still a great weekend. Why not do a report on both rides, paved and unpaved? This is an annual event (my 5th year) and a great gathering.

Join us for the lunch in Elizabethtown, KY this weekend?
