I purchased an air horn, 135 db, for my DL 1000 had planned to remove the hot wire from the little beep beep Suzuki horn, attach it to the air horn relay, and wire the relay to the air horn pump. Thus, the factory installed horn switch will work the air horn. My problem is I can not fint the little beep beep Suzuki horn.

Can anyone tell me where it is?

here in Holland a number of V-Strom owners recently installed a stebel Nautilus horn.. becoming a S.S.H.I.T.T.T-member (Suzuki Silly Horn Institute of Tunnel Tooter Testers) Great toy!

On a DL1000 you find the little beep thing on the right side. at the back of the radiator. It seems you have to move the radiator before you can reach it.

On a DL650 the little beep thing is on the left side. I managed to rewire without losening/moving the radiator.

I think you got an answer on another forum - looks to be behind the radiator on the 1000. I also have a 650 and installed one of the Stebel compact horns. I recommend direct hot and ground wires to the battery to drive the horn through the relay - I was a little leary of the small gauge horn wires...

It is positively one of the best mods you can make - my wife had me install one on her Aprilia Atlantic scooter - she has needed it several times while commuting 35 miles to her school...
