I had a excellent purchasing experience with Sean at Eastside Motor Sports. No hassles in getting a test ride. No between-visits sales pitches. When I asked for his best price, I think he gave it to me or got very close to it ($8,000US, plus reasonable charges for setup, etc). They had to pull in the bike (DL 1000) from off-site and I had it ready to ride within 24 hours of making my deposit.

Sounds like you got a DL1000 for a pretty good price. I just bought mine in April at Hinshaws Honda (Auburn, WA). I paid $8900.00 (MSRP) but I didn't have to pay any set up/freight fees. I think you beat me by about $300.00.

Did you get the bike from Sean Siem? He used to be the new bike sales manager for Ride West. Great guy! I bought a couple of BMWs from him. Last time I talked to him, he was at Eastside MS.

Congrats on the new bike! I am sure you will love it!

Yes, it was Sean Siem. Nice guy. Good experience. Although I was not as impressed with Eastside Motorsport's quote for the 600 mile checkup -- $4-500. Guess I didn't go there.
