Hi All,
I was out looking for info on my bike and found your forum. I'd heard of the group before, but am a member of the DL650 Yahoo Group and hadn't felt the need for two groups. But when I visited, I liked the look of it -- and the fact that it's a group that doesn't put down other motorcycles or riders. Then, when I found the ladies section, that did it - I had to join! :D

I'm from Omaha NE and have a 2004 Blue DL650 - my 4th, and favorite, bike. The mileage now on the Strom is about 45,000. I love the bike and love long trips on it; I love camping in beautiful places (though I like motels, or a condo too), usually with my husband and friends, but sometimes alone. I love doing a little tame "adventure touring" on backroads - dirt or gravel - especially in Utah. I'm in my 50's - learned to ride at 46. I ride to work frequently too.

Are any of you riding to the Women in Motorcycling Conference in Keystone in a few weeks? I'll be riding out with a girlfriend. We plan to camp on the way out and back. We'll ride up to Wyoming and then down thru the Steamboat area of Colorado. We're at a condo in Keystone with friends; afterwards, will head south towards Fairplay or Leadville and back to Omaha from Colorado Springs. I'm excited to get back out on the road, and I've been wanting to go to the conference for years. To see 2,000 women and their bikes is going to be so awesome!

I look forward to belonging to this group!

Kathy

Hi Kathy, nice to have you on the forum. I'm with you on the "feel" of this forum vs others out there. You'll like the helpful people here. Wyoming has some of my favorite riding ever. The Tetons are just hard to beat. Welcome.

Hi Kathy,

Welcome aboard. You will enjoy this forum. Alot of wonderful information and a very informed group of members about the VStrom's as well as other bikes.

I lived in Salt Lake City for 18 years and loved traveling in that part of the country on a motorcycle. The vistas and the diversity of the terrain are spectacular.

Keep us posted of your adventures.

Bob
