We made a decent showing there. Glad to meet a lot of guys, some coming quite a ways to come down and enjoy the old classic bikes. I met Ken from Wisconsin, Art from Ontario, Jim from Michigan, Dolphin from Florida, Tom from New Jersey. Saw a few with Ohio tags too.....anyone I miss that was there?

Was there on Friday with two friends not on Stroms. Said phuckit on Sat after hiding out in a horse barn to escape the torrential downpour of Biblical proportions we encountered on the way to the track. Hung out in a juke joint Sat night and listened to a good blues band from Columbus. Sunday visited the AMA Museum then booked east on 70 for home. Got dumped on big time in east bumphuck PA on the way home on route 666 while dodging deer and potholes the size of VW'S. I had a great time. My two buddies on sportbikes thought they died and went to hell. Heh, heh, that'll teach 'em.

I got there Friday morning too. I was running on 2 hrs sleep in two day so I just walked around and took pics. I was tempted to do a couple demo rides but I knew I was too tired to be safe and didn't want to dump someone elses bike. I met Ken on Friday night and he tried hard to talk me into going to the flat-track races with him down in Ashland but again, I was just beat and went to sleep.
I woke in my little tent Saturday morning to the sound of thunder, then it POURED...the little tent (20buck Walmart special) did pretty well though. I took the opportunity to pack when the sun came out around 10am and I packed and loaded up the bike. Walked around for one last look which paid off cause I was able to get the integral needle jet for a 73 CB350 from a guy. Took a few more pics, checked the radar on my phone which told me that Lexington was about to be under water and set off for Md. I outran the storms all the way to MD but finally got caught between two converging systems between Frederick and Haggerstown. Stopped by the side of Rt 70 and put on my raingear since all the day-riders had taken up all the space under the bridges, lest their pretty bikes get wet<LOL> and finished the trip home...rain stopped near Glen Burnie so I got to ride the last few miles in the dry...great trip. Just over 1000 miles.

Did you find one of my business cards between your cables when you got back to your bike....if so, you were seen!!
I left a handful on the Stroms I saw, in case I "knew" anyone.......

Jeff,
Sounds like you're in the vicinity where there used to be a restaurant named, I think, the Arkansas Rib House. My son worked there while attending Ann Arundel CC and they were pretty tasty ribs. Is it still there?

I'm about 7-8 miles from AACC but I don't remember a restaurant by that name....doesn't mean it's not there, just that I don't know it. The two big rib places close to the college are Red-White-Hot and Adams ribs....there also use to be a restaurant on Rt 2 (Ritchie Hwy) that used to change names like we change underware..one day is was Texas Steaks, then 4 or 5 other names...could have been the one that you're talking about.
