I keep reading threads about helmet locks so I though I might offer my fellow riders a deal for an effective helmet lock.
I have a quantity of these gun cable locks that I have found to be a far more useful solution as a helmet lock rather than having to unlock and take off the seat to get to the Suzuki provided idea of a helmet lock. That is far too much effort for to prevent a snatch and grab while going into a store for a few minutes. These locks were licensed to Taurus Firearms, they are gun locks, by Masterlock.
The cable, not including the brass parts that get inserted into the lock itself, is only 6" so you need to see whether this would work for your helmet. The short length allows the lock to stay attached to the bike and out of sight when not in use without any inconvenience. The cable is enclosed in a vinyl sheath and the lock itself has a laminate cover. Each lock comes with two keys. Cost, including S&H is an even $5, cash only. For online business references check out my rating on Ebay under my moniker m60drvr, (from the early days when Ebay names were limited to 7 characters).

Send me a PM if interested. Again, these are only intended to protect against a snatch and grab, not against a determined thief with a bolt cutter. Dice are not included!
