My 15 Minutes of Fame

Keep an eye out for me riding my Bright Blue WeeStrom at the start of this Sunday London Marathon.

Due to the regular Motorcycle outrider getting knocked off his bike (he is Ok), I have been asked to step in and lead the race for the first 3 miles after it leaves from the Red Start gate.

I am really praying that my slow riding skills haven’t escaped me, with the added pressure of taking a pillion for the first time in years.

What could possibly go wrong 14,000 plus runners behind me, a very large crowd and the BBC filming the event live…….

To say I’m starting to brick it, would be an understatement.

Well the 3 miles I was scheduled to do. As predicted I was in the lead all the way.........

Was really nervous, but it all went very well.

Even got a nice Tracksuit top to wear and a medal.
