Does anyone anywhere in the world know where you can get any form of tank protection to stop scratching the tank around the crutch area?

Suzuki offers one. They sell for about 25.00 USD. Check with your local dealer.

Almost every bike shop has the stick-on ones.

Thanks to you both. I had a look on the Canadian Suzuki site after your posts and found the type I am after. My Suzuki dealer has told me they aren't available in Australia. I will direct him to the site and see if he can order it again. If not I will have to order it from over there myself.

http://www.thetankslapper.biz/ offers two clear versions, one is 3M protective film that you can't easily remove, the other is a static type that you can remove and reapply whenever you want. I used the removable one under my Suzuki tank bra, so down the road if I take the bra off, the paint isn't dulled from a bra rubbing on the tank. Really easy to put on, just wax the tank 1st, spray area with alcohol/water mixture, and smooth it out with a squegee. This may be even more of a issue on a dark colored bike (like yours) which buy the way looks really sharp! Who makes your saddlebags- I like them. Cheers-BB

Ouch...I just looked at the AU website. The prices are huge.....
And I thought we Canucks were being gouged at times.
Cheers!

Hepco & Becker Journey 42 litre with detachable racks. panniers take about 5 seconds to get on and off but even better the racking takes less than 30 seconds to get off and about 40 seconds to put back on. Also have Hepco & Becker 52 litre top box. I just love them.
Link to Canadian distributors site for Hepco and Becker.

I have Shad 42L side cases/top trunk, and am very happy with them. But if I was in the market I would def give those Hepco's a try.

Anybody use the static cling versions? Do they hang on as long as you want 'em to? Do they cover enough to protect from a magnetic tank bag at all six magnets?
Will they also stick to lady skin after a long ride? Doh!

Thanks Again
I have ordered 1 after they changed the postage to $33 US. Still a lot for something I could post anywhere in the world for $10 MAX. But still better than having scratches on my tank.
Thank You Again

I'm using the static version under my Suzuki bra, so far no problems, they also make a complete kit to cover almost the whole bike, you may e-mail them about what you want. Cheers-BB
