New to the site, I hope this is the right place for this.
How do I wire my Tom Tom GPS to my Wee-strom. The dealer wants to charge 3 hours labour (about $270) and I was hoping this would be something I could do myself.

I just wired up my GPS last week. It certainly didn't take 3 hours. Do you have any idea as to where you might get your power from. Do you alreay have a fuse block? If not, you can use the heated grip connector behind the rad, or if that's already being used you can do what I did and get this Rear Brake Connector Relay Switching Adaptor from Eastern Beaver http://easternbeaver.com/Main/Bike_Specific/VStrom/body_vstrom.html#brakeadaptor Delivery took less than a week and the price with shipping in Cdn $ was about 12 bucks. I used it to power a 12V weatherproof outlet up front. I ran the ground wire directly to the battery. The 12V socket is $15 at Canadian Tire. All you need to do it prop up the back of the tank to get the job done. It's really pretty easy.

Wiring to the battery (with a fuse) is pretty easy to do, and having a cigarette lighter socket up front can be very useful. I work in Woodbridge, if you want to stop by you can take a look at my setup. (I'm not the handiest guy so If I can do it you will be able to.)

3 hours????
I have my TT Rider2 wired direct to my Blue Seas fuse box. You can wire direct to battery if you so choose, with a fuse of course close to the battery.
Dont worry about draw, I left my GPS on for 2 days once and it didnt affect starting the bike at all.
Cheers!
