I bought a used '06 DL 1000 (picking it up in a couple hours). It has 6000 miles on it and has had a few mods. done.
Aluminum exhaust, Leo Vinci
Power Commander
center stand
heated grips
and tall Givi windscreen.
Being new to this bike and having never even heard of "Power Commander" I wonder if there are any maintenance issues I should watch out for? The guy selling it says that he installed it to even out the acceleration, said it was a little "jumpy" at low RPM. He also said that the unit is programed specifically for that exhaust. Can it be reprogramed? Does it ever need to be? Does any one else have one of these?
I'm also getting the stock pipes with the bike. Should I keep the aftermarket exhaust on the bike or go back to stock.
What would you do?
